Kevin Ennis

Doctoral Candidate, Department of Portuguese and Brazilian Studies, Brown University

Kevin W. Ennis is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Portuguese and Brazilian Studies at Brown University. His dissertation research focuses on Brazilian and Spanish American narratives of extractivist dynamics in Amazonia in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. During the 2019-2020 academic year, he was a Mellon Graduate Fellow in Collaborative Humanities at Brown’s Cogut Institute for the Humanities. He holds a B.A. in Latin American Studies and Portuguese from Yale University and served as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Portugal before beginning his doctoral studies.
