Dr. Nina Simon

Nina Simon studied German, German as a Foreign/Second Language (GFL/GSL), Social Studies and Performing Arts in Munich and taught GFL/GLS at various schools and universities. She received her doctorate with a thesis on the (im)possibility of (German) (university) didactics critical of power and works primarily on questions of GFL/GSL in the tradition of Cultural Studies. She is an assistant professor of GFL/GSL with a focus on Cultural Studies at the Herder Institute of the University of Leipzig.
