Corine Tachtiris

Corine Tachtiris is Assistant Professor of Translation Studies at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Her book Translation and Race is forthcoming with Routledge in 2022. In addition to her research, Tachtiris is also a practicing translator, working primarily on contemporary literature by women writers from the Francophone Caribbean, Africa, and Canada as well as the Czech Republic. She is an at-large board member of the American Literary Translators Association and prose translation editor at The Massachusetts Review.
